These brownies have a very rich chocolate flavor and are a perfect, easy treat to make with, and for, family and friends.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ sticks of butter
- ¾ cup of cocoa powder
- 1 ¾ cups of brown sugar
- ¾ cups of flour
- 1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- ½ cup of chocolate chips (either semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Toast butter in a pot until golden brown on low heat. This takes a few minutes and you have to watch it the whole time to not overcook it.
- Pour the toasted butter into a bowl and add cocoa powder. Whisk until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, add eggs and brown sugar. Whisk until fully combined.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl with the eggs and sugar and mix until combined.
- Add flour, salt, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Add and mix the chocolate chips into the batter.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased pan and cook for 20-25 minutes.
