Fit For Fashion: Streetwear

Have you ever strolled down the bustling streets of New York City? The vibrant aura of the city is truly a sight to behold. Take in the towering buildings, the invigorating air, the fragrant smells, and the eclectic mix of people. The fashion scene in the city is unparalleled! You’ll spot people dressed in all kinds of stylish outfits that look like they’ve come straight out of a fashion magazine. For the past two weeks, we held a street-wear attire theme that best fits how New York city’s ambience and the attraction it has for city-goers.

Amani Yusuf & Justin Santos- 60% (Winner)

Amani Yusuf and Justin Santos are the winners of this bi-weekly fashion theme, pulling off some cozy yet chill attire. Amani was captured wearing a pink-trending beanie, a black shirt, and sterling earrings while Justin pulled off his casual y2k black zip-up. The serene yet 2000s-set vibe helped to make this picture stand out even more, making the perfect pair when it comes down to the street-wear ensemble we were looking for.

Joshua Weinstein – 32.5% (2nd Place) (Photo Credit: Maida Dapcevic)

Josh keeps it simple with earth tones in his outfit, giving off an easy-going vibe. Layering is a great way to stay warm while keeping it stylish. The wintery background provides a nice contrast between the winter season and the earthy colors of spring. His carefree pose complements the overall casual vibe that he wanted to express most.

Nisaa Emery & Almar Andre- 7.5% (3rd Place)

Our final contestants, Nisaa and Almar had a juxtaposing yet complimentary ensemble that made this photo pop out in a unique way. Nissa with her black puffy jacket and Almar with her hot-pink sweater help to emphasize the trending fashion pieces that are found in everyday streetwear.
