2022 Game of the Year Nominees
With the year coming to a close we must decide what games must deserve the title of game of the year. Geoff Keighley, a videogame journalist and television presenter who founded, hosts, and produces “The Game Awards.” This year six video games have been nominated for that title: A Plague Tale: Requiem, God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring, Stray, Horizon Forbidden West, and last but not least Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Nominations for the game awards are selected by a voting jury of over 100 leading media and influencers and outlets across the globe.
Most of these games besides A Plague Tale: Requiem and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 have been very popular upon their release and nearing the end of November God of War Ragnarok is receiving a mass amount of praise, and if you do not believe me you can go ask Mr. Zink. The biggest argument amongst the people, however, is which game is deserving more of the game of the year award which is between Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok. I believe that God of War has the biggest chance of winning this year, and to add to its previous entry won the game of the year award in 2018, however, Elden Ring has just an equal amount of chance to win as well. This year’s Game Awards are looking up to be one of the better ones, many are excited to see what new announcements the event will entail. Make sure to tune in on December 8th from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm EST.
The event will be streaming on both major platforms Youtube and Twitch.
