Celebrating Mr. Thomas Baker’s 20th Year as Athletic Director

On November 1, 2021, Mr. Thomas Baker was honored and recognized for his twenty years as an athletic director at Hendrick Hudson High School. The ceremony was led by Principal James L. Mackin, Diane Swertfager, Meg Greiner, and other prominent athletic leaders in our school district and other local ones. Teams of students, including volleyball, baseball, cross country, and even drama club, filled the bleachers and cheered Mr. Baker on. On the field, team captains stood with their coaches to present an item related to their sport. Some of the gifts were a signed volleyball presented by volleyball captains Franny Tissoni and Mackenzie Calhoun, a signed basketball presented by girls basketball captains Colleen Ryan and Shannon Ellis, and a signed cup presented by cross country captains Allison Abraham and Gabe Capicotto. Other notable teams that gave Mr. Baker a sports souvenir were boys basketball, baseball, unified basketball, track and field, girls swimming, bowling, and cheer. Mr. Baker was also given a plaque noting his dedication to our athletic department that will be showcased in our Hall of Fame. Congratulations Mr. Baker, we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
