The singer, D4vd, was accused of murder after a dismembered body was discovered in the trunk of his Tesla at a tow yard in Hollywood, California on September 8, 2025. The body was recently identified as a 15-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas. 

Celeste was reported missing on April 5, 2024 from her home in Lake Elsinore, California and her body was found a few days after D4vd’s car had been taken to an impound due to its abandonment in Hollywood Hills. His car was stranded for over a month on the street. This occurred while D4vd was on tour for his debut album, Withered which may have conflicted with the timing of Celeste’s death.

It is speculated that Celeste and D4vd were in a relationship together prior to her going missing. Celeste’s mother, Maria Juarez, told TMZ that Celeste used to have a boyfriend named David. Other evidence of their relation is an unreleased song D4vd made about a girl named Celeste as well as both D4vd and Celeste’s matching “Shhh…” tattoo on their right index finger.
