SEED Club Movie Night
WESTCHESTER, New York – Seed Club is having another one of their classic movie nights tonight, Friday, February 10th from 6-10 pm in the Band Room. The club will be showing Crazy Rich Asians and Shrek. Tickets are $5 per person for one movie at $7 for 2 movies, and concessions will be sold. The event is Valentine’s Day inspired, which explains the choice of two love stories.
Crazy Rich Asians follows American-born Chinese woman, Rachel Chu (Constance Wu), and Singaporean gazillionaire Nicholas Young (Henry Goulding) on their trip back to Singapore. The movie outlines a trip to Nick’s best friend’s wedding and the introduction of Rachel to Nick’s pretentious family. In a mix of drama, romance and extravagance, this movie is one for the books. A take on Kevin Kwan’s best-selling novel, the cinematography greatly complements a rollercoaster of a story, reinforcing the transcendence of love.
Shrek, a beloved comedy for kids of all ages, follows a spiteful ogre, Shrek (Michael Myers), and his journey with Donkey (Eddie Murphy) to become more than the anti hero he is. On his fairy tale based adventure, he quickly falls for Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz). A movie likely remembered from childhood, Shrek is a light, entertaining watch for all to enjoy.
