Comic Con 2022 Attracts Hundreds of Thousands to NYC

New York Comic Con 2022 was held from the 6th through the 9th of October. An estimated 200,000 attendees showed up to attend panels with popular celebrities, cosplay their favorite characters, and get exclusive previews for upcoming releases.

 

Many famous guests included Marvel Cinematic Universe actors Sebastian Stan and Oscar Isaac, Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe and many more.

This year’s New York Comic Con also brought several pieces of very exciting news. Most notably, the Super Mario Bros movie starring Chris Pratt as the titular character premiered a long awaited trailer during the event. The clip quickly went viral and instigated numerous online memes. Another trailer that caught the attention of fans was the finale teaser for the Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Also, the long running and immensely popular anime One Piece thrilled fans with a media blitz including jumbo inflatables, exclusive merchandise booths, and a special early showing for the imminent English release of their movie One Piece: Film Red. The producers of Star Wars, Marvel, and DC were also among those highlighting upcoming projects. 

 

Overall, the event remained as popular as ever with many fans posting about their experiences at the event on social media.
